Christiania describes the nightmare of addiction; never knowing who to trust, but so desperate that almost anyone is trusted when in need of a fix. Christiania is comparable to works such as Naked Lunch, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Trainspotting, and was influenced largely by the works of William S. Burroughs.

Feeling like a mashup between "The Naked Lunch" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," and definitely not for the easily offended. Christiana is a dark and beautiful novel, hauntingly written by an author who captures the lost characters in the novel in an unforgettable way. And apparently the author's only direct experience with this region in Denmark was a brief research trip. But she captures the atmosphere brilliantly.Product details
